Membership Categories
Regular Membership
Regular Membership is open to business owners, directors, firms, companies, corporations, and individuals resident in Sri Lanka, or their authorized representatives, aged 18 years or above.
Applicants should be professionals, merchants, manufacturers, or entrepreneurs who live in, operate in, or have a substantial clientele in Trincomalee District or its immediate vicinity.
Approval: Subject to approval by the Founders
Privileges:
✔ Full membership privileges
✔ Entrance fee and/or annual subscription required
Honorary Membership
Honorary Membership is offered to distinguished individuals in commerce, art, finance, administration, or those who have rendered exceptional services to the Trincomalee District Business Council (TDBC).
Approval: Subject to approval by the Founders
Privileges:
✔ Full membership privileges
✔ No entrance fee or subscription required
Overseas Membership
Overseas Membership is open to firms, companies, corporations, NGOs, or individuals residing outside Sri Lanka who are engaged in exporting goods, services, or technology to Sri Lanka, or investing in Sri Lanka, and who support the objectives of TDBC.
Approval: Subject to approval by the Founders
Privileges:
✔ All membership privileges except voting and committee roles
✖ No voting rights
✖ Not eligible for committee or office bearer positions
Professional Membership
Professional Membership is available to individuals holding recognized professional qualifications from a reputed university or institution and actively practicing in their field.
Sri Lankan government officials are not eligible for this category.
Approval: Subject to approval by the Founders
Privileges:
✔ All membership privileges except voting and committee roles
✖ No voting rights
✖ Not eligible for committee or office bearer positions
